Dipto Chakravarty is Senior Vice President of Engineering for e-Security. In this role he drives the direction and development of e-Security's enterprise-class security event management software.

Previously Mr. Chakravarty served as the CTO of Artesia, an enterprise software company he co-founded. In that role he provided overall strategic direction and vision for the company's technology initiatives, including product strategy, R&D, acquisitions and alliances. Previously Mr. Chakravarty was the Founder and Director of the TEAMS software division of the $6B Thomson Corporation, a firm purchased by Artesia in 1999. Before founding TEAMS Mr. Chakravarty held multiple managerial positions in a technology consulting firm called ThomsonConsulting, helping to grow the firm from a staff of 15 to over 250 professionals worldwide. Earlier he held a variety of engineering positions with IBM, Bell, AT&T and Sun, where he was instrumental for implementing several mainstream operating systems and commercial software products.

Mr. Chakravarty is the author of two best-selling titles from McGraw-Hill that have been translated in five languages. He has published over 40 technical papers, is a faculty member at Technology Education institutes of IBM and Lockheed Martin, and a frequent speaker, chair and referee at conferences, including CMG, ACM, NAB, IEEE, SD Expo, SMPTE, FedImaging, FOSE and Seybold.
