TIMOTHY T. EGAN
Executive Producer, Broadcast Development & Media Relations Consultant

Whether he’s developing broadcast content or helping a client design and execute a communications plan, Tim has a knack for connecting the dots. As Chief Marketing Officer at Moody Street Pictures, he thrives on bringing people together in new and unique ways, particularly in the name of cross-channel media initiatives. Tim’s work in broadcast content development has involved independent producers, media talent, ad agencies, universities, networks and web-based distribution organizations. One of his chief areas of interest is political media, for which he counts Biden for President 2008 among his proudest achievements.

Tim served as Creator and Executive Producer on a number of sports programming projects recognized by the New England Emmy Awards, including the six-time Emmy-nominated reality series, “Be A Bruin,” which aired on NESN in 2006. Tim’s sports magazine pilot for Boston College, entitled “Eagle Insider,” which also aired on NESN, won a 2005 Sports Series Emmy Award. That same year, he also produced the Emmy-nominated children’s pilot “I’m Possible,” for WCVB-TV5. Tim has a relationship with the Emmy organization (NATAS) in a backstage capacity as well, serving as Executive Producer of the New England Emmy Awards Event since 2004.

From 2003-2005, Tim helped Watertown, MA-based VideoLink, Inc. open and market its Baltimore, MD, bureau, develop network programming relationships in New England and manage the vendor qualification process for VideoLink to the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, University of Maryland and Boston DNC 2004, Inc.

From 1994 to 2003, Tim’s work at Boston, MA-based The Rendon Group (TRG), resulted in a number of well-regarded event-based series and specials, including: “Mohegan Sun's FightNight New England,” a boxing series on Fox Sports Net New England (1999-2001); “Embracing The Charles: The Story of the 34th Annual Head of the Charles Regatta,” a special for NECN, and shown at alumni events in England, France, Brazil and Argentina; and global satellite broadcasts of Teradyne 10th Anniversary-TQM Days in 2000 from Boston’s FleetCenter and The Phoenician Resort in Arizona.

For TRG clients, Tim created and distributed various documentaries, including the Central Artery Tunnel Project's 2002-2003 educational series, “Getting There: Roadway Education,” and companion broadcast special, “Getting There: Roadway Benefits.” He enjoyed his earliest success with sports programming when his documentary, “A Tribute to Cam Neely, The Definitive Bruin,” received the 1997 Sports Special Emmy from the New England Chapter. While at TRG, Tim also created several public service campaigns for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, including the 2003 Emmy-nominated “Why Do You Use the Library?”; the 2001 Emmy-nominated Mass-USOC “Gold Medal Gala” and the 1999 and 2000 Emmy-nominated “Play It Safe.”

Prior to The Rendon Group, Tim developed a strong production background serving for two years as Crew Chief on live broadcasts for Court TV, Production Coordinator for two years on ABC's American Detective and Chief Editor for one year at Videcam, Inc. producing and editing feature film trailers.

Tim’s organizational affiliations include serving as Co-Chair of the NATAS National Presidents Council 2008-2010, President of NATAS New England Chapter 2006-2010, Director of The New England Alumni Club for University of Maryland (2002-04), and International Council of NATAS Judge (since 1994). Tim lives in Milton, MA, with his wife Betty and daughter Maggie. In his spare time, he enjoys hiking, snow-shoeing, chopping wood, and other pleasures of the back-country life in the White Mountains of New Hampshire.
